For Students: Foundations of Manufacturing- Domain 1 Safety Awareness Student Guide, MSSC: CPT

Manufacturing Skill Standards Council, MSSC, Certified Production Technician, CPT We have released the new version of our curriculum aligned with Manufacturing Skill Standards Council's certified Productions Technician Certification (MSSC-CPT). Foundations of Manufacturing was designed to replace our legacy curriculum; Manufacturing Fundamentals and Manufacturing Essentials. The Student Guide and Instructor Guides for the new material will be available to the general public. However, like our previous versions, the supplemental material, including power points and practice quizzes, will only be available to instructors who attend our instructor certification course (ICC). Foundations of Manufacturing is designed to be delivered between 100 &150 contact hours depending on whether your students are incumbent and displaced workers with a background in manufacturing, entry-level production workers, or high school and career academy students. This 4 domain course provides the fundamental skills and knowledge for a diverse manufacturing sector. The training modules can be used to supplement high school programs or as a complete course for workforce trainees. This series updated the material offered in our Manufacturing Fundamentals Course and embedded most of the Unit 1: Employability Skills (Soft Skills) material into these units:

Course 1: CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate) - ETAM Curriculum

Students will gain an understanding of the fundamental concepts of Quality improvement processes. This certification is ideal for front line employees, such as customer service and administrative assistants, who interact directly with customers. Students will learn to project the organization;s quality focused image while performing routine job activities. LENGTH: 36 hours

Course 2: Lean (Bronze Level Certification) - ETAM Curriculum

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner should be able to successfully pass the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Lean Bronze written exam.  This exam is the first and only written part of the certification process required to obtain the Lean Bronze certification. Course 3: Robotics Applications - ETAM Curriculum

This course is designed to introduce the student to the basic principles of robots including classification, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and applications in the robotics industry. Students will use hands-on practices to become familiar with sections of a robotic system.

Course 4: Mathematics for Instrumentation Technicians - ETAM Curriculum

This course is specifically designed for the instrument technician who may be struggling with mathematical computations or those who need a basic refresher. The course is focused entirely on fundamental problems and solutions that an instrument tech, from entry to supervisory level, continuously works with and uses. It also provides a good prerequisite for the various math calculations involved in other ISA training courses.

Course 5: Process Instrumentation - ETAM Curriculum

This course is concerned with maintaining process variables, temperatures, pressures, flows, compositions, and the like, at a desired operating value. It was specifically developed for students with little or no background in the field of process measurements and control. The class focuses on the physical measurement technologies, the communication signals, and the various applications of instrument equipment to achieve common process measurements and control. It offers fundamental knowledge for technicians working in the process control industry. CERTIFICATION ALIGNMENT: Certified Control System Technician (CCST) LENGTH: 36 hours

Course 6: Process Control - ETAM Curriculum

Technicians, engineers, and managers are provided with the fundamentals to more effectively communicate with other control system professionals. This course helps newcomers to industrial control hone their technical skills. This course is also beneficial for practicing control technicians preparing for the Certified Control Systems Technician® (CCST®) exam.

Course 7: Safety Instrumented Systems: ETAM Curriculum

Course 8: Electrical Technology - ETAM Curriculum

Course 9: SMT (Surface Mount Technology) - ETAM Curriculum

Course 10: CNC Machine Operator - ETAM Curriculumx
