The employment challenges of the manufacturing industry can be solved, but specific industry knowledge gaps must be identified first. That’s where our team at the College Alliance for Advanced Manufacturing (CAAM) helps. We continually research and measure the skills gap across Florida’s workers by consulting with businesses and working in the field to pinpoint specific issues. From that data, we narrow down the skills that Florida manufacturing employees need most. Starting in 2015 and continuing for ten years, 3.5 million manufacturing jobs are expected to be needed in the U.S. We help companies ensure they can fill those openings with skilled employees.
